Born and mostly raised in New Zealand, these five stick together like family. Having won a local contest to play at the biggest festival on the island, they instantly attracted the attention at a young age and began to make waves in the underground music scene. Emerging when the labels interest was sparked, Playing Favorites gained rapid popularity across the world and soon were being booked for US tours. Although from afar they seem like the biggest jerks going, in reality they are just dedicated individuals with big (albeit misguided) hearts. They party when they want, sleep with who they want and essentially do whatever the hell they want all combining to make one of the greatest live shows of this generation. Don't hold back on them, because they certainly won't with you. Although still living in NZ, the band has hired a large band house to stay in LA whilst they record a new album and attend to play at the vastly hyped awards show coming up. Playing Favorites have just finished their biggest tour to date, lasting over a year across the world but are showing no signs of slowing down. With an army of fans trekking far and wide to get a glimpse, any music these five release in the near future will be snapped up in seconds.
